Don’t take the road less traveled, make your own road

You want to break new ground. You want to shake things up and disrupt the system. You want people to notice. This doesn’t happen by copying what others are doing. All copying others does is make a weaker copy of what you saw them do.

To break new ground, watch what’s going on around you…and use this as a guide for what NOT to do. Then go find new ways to make things happen.

This sounds like common sense, but I’m told at least twice each day by clients that they’re doing something ‘because that’s the way I saw it being done.’

Break new ground. Avoid the easy road with all the traffic, also avoid the road less traveled…it still has traffic. Role up your sleeves, sharpen your mind, and cut your own path.
